Nib Bank’s management is committed to preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all the information and information assets critical to its Banking services in Ethiopia and shall strive to ensure robust Information Security along with a focus on an effective risk management approach and continual improvement.

NIB shall establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve a holistic and robust Information Security Management System (ISMS) as per the applicable requirements, putting in place adequate and appropriate arrangements, which shall enable it to effectively protect “confidentiality”, maintain “integrity” and ensure “availability” of its information assets and to respond and recover from information security incidents when they arise. NIB also maintains a level of emergency preparedness for its Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, so that, under all circumstances, the operation of NIB is continued.

Supporting policies have been identified by NIB and all employees and contractors are expected to integrate them into the operational activities and culture, making it the responsibility of each and every employee to ensure that a robust information security structure is maintained and available to the authorized personnel whenever needed.

This policy is endorsed by NIB’s highest level of Management and communicated to all parties relevant to its Information Security.
