FAQ

  • Visit the nearest NIB branch with your identification card and fill out the mobile banking request form. Once registered, you’ll receive an activation code and initial password.

There are two options:

  • USSD Activation: Dial *865# → Enter activation code → Set your PIN.
  • Mobile Banking App Activation: Download the app from the Play Store or App Store → Enter your User ID (e.g. IB9*******) → Input your activation code → Set and confirm your password.
  • Simply visit the nearest branch and request a PIN reset.
  • This means your device is locked out for security. Visit a branch and submit a device unblock request form. The Mobile Banking team will take care of it.
  • Call 9698 to check the status.
  • If the delay is on NIB’s side → funds will be credited within 2–3 business days.
  • If it’s from the other bank → please contact that bank’s customer service directly.
  • Dial *865# to access Mobile Banking via USSD.

Yes, both are valid:

  • Branch-generated number (includes “SAV”): Easy to remember and valid for NIB transactions.
  • System-generated number (starts with “70”): Preferred for interbank and NIB transactions.
  • USSD: *865#

  • NIB card at NIB ATM: Call 9698 or visit a branch. Funds will be reversed in 2–3 business days.
  • NIB card at another bank’s ATM: It will take 8–14 business days after a request is sent to the respective bank.
  • Go to the nearest branch and complete the registration form. You’ll need:
  • Valid trade license with TIN
  • ID card and a recent passport-sized photo
  • Visit any NIB branch. Your card will be issued on the spot.
  • Visit your branch and fill out the Mastercard request form.
  • Required documents: Passport, Visa, and Flight Ticket.
  • Once approved, you’ll be notified to collect the card from the Head Office’s International Banking Department.
